What is Saubhagya Scheme?
This Saubhagya Scheme is a very common scheme which was launched in the year 2017 with only the single objective of properly providing electricity to all the houses in both the rural as well as urban sectors of our country. Significance of the Saubhagya Scheme
As the Ministry of Power with some active support with the proper cooperation of States/Power Utilities and other stakeholders mostly 281.697 lakh households already have been provided with the proper amount of electricity connections since the launch of this particular Saubhagya Scheme. While the other importance of this scheme is that, under this scheme, mostly 60% of the grant from the central government was given to the states, while it is also true that the states also spent 10% from their own funds and the remaining 30% was provided by banks as loans to simply provide better electricity connections to all different households to help them.
While it is also true that more than 85% of the Saubhagya scheme was also directly given by the central government for the management of the special state while the states also had to properly invest only 5% of their own funds as well as the remaining 10% was provided by the banks in the form of loans.
